Pet Dentistry

🦷 Healthy Teeth, Happy Pets

Did you know that dental disease is one of the most common health problems in cats and dogs—and it can start as early as 2 years of age? Left untreated, it can cause serious pain and even lead to other health issues like kidney, heart, and liver disease.

That’s why regular dental care is so important for your pet’s overall wellbeing.

We’re here to help! If your pet has bad breath or you’re unsure about their dental health, give us a call. A clean mouth means a healthier, happier life for your furry friend. 🐾

⚠️ Signs of Dental Disease

If your pet is showing any of these signs, it might be time for a dental check-up:

  •  Bad breath

  •  Drooling or dropping food

  •  Loss of appetite or weight loss

  •  Pawing at the mouth

  •  Red or inflamed gums

  •  Yellow, brown, or discoloured teeth

Dental disease often progresses quietly—so even if your pet seems fine, a quick dental exam can catch problems early.

🧼 Professional Cleaning with iM3 Technology

Both of our clinics are equipped with state-of-the-art iM3 dental machines. These allow us to:

  • Use an ultrasonic scaler to gently remove plaque and tartar

  • Finish with a polish to help protect the teeth and slow down future build-up

This professional clean helps keep your pet’s smile bright and their mouth healthy!

📸 Dental X-Rays (Radiographs)

Sometimes the biggest problems are below the gum line, where we can’t see them. That’s where dental X-rays come in. They let our vets see:

  • Root health

  • Hidden infections

  • Bone loss

  • Tooth fractures

These are especially useful for identifying issues before they become painful or serious.

💡 Please note: Dental X-rays are currently available only at our Peak Crossing clinic.
